Chefette Donates to the Barbados Red Cross Society

Thanks to Chefette Restaurants and its valued customers, the Barbados Red Cross Society is in a much better position to assist the community with its ongoing projects. Recently, a donation of $7,000 was made to the Barbados Red Cross Society; which was raised from Chefette’s Donation Box  Programme during the second quarter of this year in addition to a  contribution from Chefette’s Corporate Office.

During the presentation, Winston Waithe, President of the Society, expressed gratitude to Chefette as well as the general public and said “The donations we received, especially donations and support received from community-spirited organizations such as Chefette Restaurants are desperately needed for us to continue these and other programs and services which we provide to the community.

Therefore, on behalf of our governing board, members, Volunteers and staff of the Barbados Red Cross Society, I sincerely thank the management and staff of Chefette for this generous donation and also to thank them once more for their continuous support over the more than thirty (30) years. We greatly appreciate your help and encourage others organizations to be equally supportive of the Barbados Red Cross Society and Chefette Restaurants Ltd".

Lisa Carter, Advertising Manager of Chefette Restaurants noted that the funds came in part from Chefette’s continuing Donation Box Programme which started in 2001. She thanked the Company’s valued customers for making contributions to the boxes that are placed in all of its 15 Restaurants and 2 BBQ Barns, to receive donations from customers and the general public.
