Youth With A Mission Receives Donation From Chefette

Since 2001 Chefette Restaurants has been receiving praise for the financial support it continues to make to local charities from funds collected through the Chefette Donations Box Programme that are further topped up by the local Restaurant Chain’s Corporate Office.

Youth with a Mission is the most recent recipient, having received $8,500.00.  Sandra Yearwood, Executive Board Member of YWAM received the cheque and said “ YWAM is very grateful to Chefette Restaurants and its customers who have given generously through the donation box program. These funds will help us to continue running our programs that are designed to impact individuals and bring transformation to them, their families, communities, and the island. This year we have invested in training to help start and sustain houses of prayer across Barbados and the islands of the Caribbean – creating locations where individuals from all walks of life can come and encounter Jesus through worship and prayer.”

Lisa Carter,  Chefette’s Advertising Manager said “we will continue to assist our local Charites as we are committed to giving back to our communities.  It is also heartwarming to see organizations such as YWAM assisting our youth to develop spiritually through evangelism and service projects. We are also grateful to our loyal Customers and Staff for their very generous contributions towards our Donation Box Programme.”

The donation boxes have been placed in all Chefette Restaurants and BBQ Barns allowing our customers and staff members to make monetary contributions, which are then donated to charity.  Donations to local charities are made four times a year, with Chefette’s Corporate Office making a monetary contribution towards the funds collected.
