Chefette Supports Walk For The Cure 2019

Chefette Restaurant, Barbados’s largest restaurant chain, which is renowned for giving back to the Community and its generous donations to various charities, is once again partnering with CIBC in staging their principal fundraiser and public awareness event. That event is the CIBC Walk for the Cure 2019.

Recently at Chefette’s Corporate office, Joi Colucci, Barbados’s Walk Manager received the sponsorship cheque and said that “CIBC FirstCaribbean and the Barbados Cancer Society Breast Screening Programme are once again extremely pleased to partner with Chefette Restaurants Limited for our Walk for the Cure 2019. Chefette has been with us on this journey for the past 5 years, and their continued commitment, and generous contributions have allowed the Breast Screening Programme to continue and expand its vital work of saving lives through early detection. Chefette has a proud tradition of supporting important charitable causes in Barbados, and we truly appreciate their ongoing partnership with us on this most worthwhile cause.

During the cheque presentation, Chefette’s Advertising Manager, Lisa Carter described the CIBC Walk as a major event designed to build awareness for the fight against Breast Cancer and noted that her company was thrilled to continue supporting for the cause.

Carter also gave a preview of Chefette’s marketing campaign for the full month of October which will aim to further heighten the awareness for breast cancer. The theme is called ACT (Awareness Cure Togetherness) and involves the display of pink digital menus; pink Snack Boxes & Sliced Pizza packaging; and employees wearing Pink Polos and pink Ribbon pins.

The Walk for the Cure takes place on Sunday October 6th 2019 at CIBC FirstCaribbean Warrens at 3:30pm. The after-walk activities, which include the prize giving ceremony and local entertainment, will take place by the Dome Mall in Warrens. Persons who are interested in walking can register at the Barbados Cancer Society on Henry’s Lane.
