Chefette Donates to the Barbados Red Cross Society

Chefette Restaurants and its loyal customers continue to receive praises from The Barbados Red Cross Society (BRCS).

Following the presentation of the funds collected via Chefette’s Donation Box Programme to BRCS, President, Winston Waithe said "Once again we thank Chefette Restaurants for its continuous and generous support of our Meals-on-wheels and Welfare Program. This program provides freshly cooked meals to approximately 150 vulnerable persons daily.

Despite the unprecedented challenges that we face as a country and an organization due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the BRCS continues to work diligently to serve the basic needs of vulnerable persons through our daily Meals on Wheels and Welfare Program. We are also involved in community public awareness activities aimed at preventing transmission of the Corona virus. As the current public health emergency continues, at the organizational level, we have been assisting the government in its efforts to maintain access to basic social services, and further, to reduce the economic, social and psychological impact on those living in Barbados.

On behalf of our Governing Board, members, volunteers and staff of the Barbados Red Cross Society, I sincerely thank the management and staff of Chefette Restaurants. for this generous donation which is greatly appreciated."

In addition, we recognise that we could not have done this without the contributions of our loyal customers and staff members who contributed to the Chefette Donation Box programme.  It is important for us to maintain this assistance so that we can fulfil our humanitarian commitment to the community, especially to those families who are most affected by COVID-19.
